Knitting Night at the Movies
On Sunday night, December 2nd
at nine o'clock on CBS the movie:
"Pictures of Hollis Woods" will be shown.
Now this is a premiere event.
The movie is based on the
book of the same name,
the work of famed author,
Patricia Reilly Giff.
The book a Newbery Honoree
was filmed in Canada with
a superb cast:
Sissy Spacek as Josie
Jodelle Ferland as Hollis
It is a Hallmark production
and will subsequently be
shown on the Hallmark channel.
Hollis Wood a twelve-year-old
goes to live with an aging artist
and finds acceptance and affection.
But alas, Josie is becoming
forgetful. So, they runaway.
I won't say more, that is
enough of a tease.
On Sunday night I plan
to make popcorn, chill wine,
and knit something
simple... a bit of stockinette
going around and around on
the circular needle to keep
my excitement within bounds.
Ms. Giff is a delightful, talented,
warm spirited lady , I applaud
her success with pleasure.
I look forward to enjoying
the fruits of her labor.

Pat, as I promised, I checked to see if this was on up here. More correctly, to see if we receive CBS but alas we don't get CBS nor was it on any other channel we receive. Sorry I missed it ... I may have to break down and get the book!
