Off to see Santa?
Not quite.
We are going to Mt. Dora
the highest point in Florida.
Talk about old children
going home...
Mt. Dora is about as close
to mountains as you're
going to get in Florida.
It is a lovely village
always beautifully decorated
for Christmas.
You can walk the streets
and poke in and out of
antique shops and book stores
unimpeded.
Music floats out of the doorways
and there might be a nip
in the air.
The getaway could be termed
a gift from Santa. Early, but
why put a time limit to
Christmas joy.
My hand-dyed sock yarn
arrived yesterday just in
time to travel in my
handy, dandy knitting bag.
And given the treasures
to be found in the Mt. Dora
yarn shop, well, it might
find company.
See you at the movies.
