I am having tea with my childhood Christmas memories.
The songs: I'll Be Home for Christmas and White Christmas set the tone
for Christmas in the forties. My soldiers are gone or past remembering
the war. I was four, five, six and my stocking was always hung with care.
Today I leaf through the Knit Christmas Stocking book and
knit mini stockings and a baby hat for the great grandchild of my war hero:
John Lawrence Kehoe.
