The Hat Factory

Moving right along here
check the latest hat photo.

The hat is a "One-skein wonder"
from the book by the same name.
It's titled: "New Directions Hat."
Designed by Margaret Radcliffe.

You knit the garter stitch border
on a straight needle
to the desired length.
Bind off.

Whip stitch the ends together.
Using a crochet hook pick up
stitches between the ridges.
Eg. 180 ridges ( 2 rows equals a ridge)
will allow you to pick up ninety stitches.

Knit until the band is
one-third of the hat's circumference.
Isn't that a handy little bit of wisdom?

Knit 2 tog, knit next row
until you have four stitches.
I skipped the I-cord.

Aren't the colors to "dye" for?
Thanks just the same
I will purchase my yarns
pre-dyed.

See ya.
I'm off to the factory.
Lunch time is over.

I like this one too...just letting you know! I'm in the market for a new brain hug. I think my head shrank.
