We are set to take our journey
north on the long highway
following Ms. Perky Granger's
tail lights.
We're going back to them
there mountains...
knitting and ticking
off those state lines
as we go.
Keep the tea
at the ready and
a gingersnap would be nice.

We left the gate open on the Mason-Dixon line, and sunlight and warm air are rushing northward. Green, green grass, daffodils and azaleas light up the landscape we are driving past. It will be good to be home again.
