Kindergarten Cloud Maker
Sassy has returned to kindergarten. Her heart is set on weaving clouds, not just any cloud but fluffy clouds. She'll tell you that it's no easy task.
In desperation she bought some batting called spider web. She found a online site that opined that one could use Sharpie markers to paint fabric and enhance the colors with alcohol. It promised amazing results. No dye pot just a little spritzing and away you go.
The first photo shows the painted batting drying in the sun.
To shape and secure the clouds it is best to wind the batting around a thin dowel rod, insert batting and dowel into the shed, change shed, weave a few rows of tabby and pullout the rod.
A worthy Kindergarten effort...
