Baby Baby

This baby bootie has been on the to do list for quite awhile. So, yesterday Sassy dedicated most of the day to knitting.

The pattern was designed by Andrea Wong who teaches Portuguese
style knitting. Interesting method. Sassy knitted in conventional style.

The bootie was knitted flat and was seamed down the back and across
the sole.  The pattern requires stockinette stitch, garter stitch, yarn overs
and garter ribbing.

Sassy had never done garter ribbing (k1, p1, end with k1) and then purl
back on the next row. Great texture. Want to use it on a sock cuff next.

And at the end of the day Sassy was wishing for a baby. And guess what?
An old friend called to say that her son and daughter-in-law will be having
a baby in July. Wishes do come true.

Have to hurry and get that second bootie on the needles
