Crayons

Crayons: first graders are especially fond of
crayons. And you might it find it hard to believe
but Sassy found a knitting pattern for crayon
bookmarks.

Scoffers have been known to opine that first grade
teachers chose their profession to enable them to live
in the magical garden's sand box for their
adult lives.

Perhaps they are correct. Given the current tragedy
in CT it seems that the first grade teacher is still
present in this old knitter or perhaps it is the first grader
who lived through  World War 11 and 911 with a small
measure of innocence intact only to see her first grade
stronghold breached.
