A young friend is going to have
a baby girl... Emily.
Don't you love the name?
There is Emily Dickinson
and Emily in _Our Town_
and you get the picture.
Just the name fills one with delight
and my knitting heart with projects.
See the hats above.
And I have one kimono finished
and another one on the needle and...
A friend suggested that I secure a booth
at the Woodstock flea market... no
not the famous Woodstock but close...
Woodstock, NY is the original art
colony dating back to the 1920's
Sounds like fun.
I'll get a tattoo and a cotton skirt
and relive the 60's.
Only I missed the sixties.
My father died.
My mother was ill.
I had three children under five.
No time to sit-in or march.
Husband read me the news
while I did dishes.
Anyway when I get to hat
number 100 I'll get a booth
and sell baby garments for
lots of 2009 infants
not just Emily.
Have to go now.

I've been selling knitting at the Woodstock Flea Market for a couple of years - it's hit or miss. Better in the fall for sure. Let me know when you're coming!
