Sideways Sock

A new month!

I am having a go at 

knitting a sock sideways.

You start with a provisional cast-on.

Oh my!

With the knitting needle in one hand

and a crochet hook in the other... 

I stared at the photo on the computer.

I can't do that! I thought.

And then I hunkered down 

and gave it a try. Crocheted on 30

stitches while waiting for my Sunday

morning chat with daughter #3.

Whew!

And now I am on to short rows.

We shall see what we shall see.

It will take a lengthy stretch of game watching

(probably the Australian tennis match)

 and a fair amount of pizza and beer to knit this

sock.
