The Quakers believe that when you are born
you are given a basket with the people
who are to belong to you in the basket...
not just family but a wide range of others.
Susan Brooks Manocha died suddenly on
December 16th at the age of 56
She has been in the Richards' family basket
since she was a little girl.
The memorial was last night. A room full
of masked people swirling past the urn
banked with poinsettia plants hugging
her sons and mother. Leaving with a
sense of gratitude for the kindness and
love engendered and left behind by
this young woman.
