Christmas is Coming

The little knitted tree
sits on the fireplace ledge.

Knit in garter stitch with
Lion-brand homespun
on a 10.5 needle. It
stands 9.5 inches tall
on a yarn cone used
for weaving.

The Richards' women progressed
 from knitting birds last year
to knitting trees this year.

The tree is an adaptation
from a pattern designed
by Susan Baron for Webs.


Holiday fun:
a nod to using up stash,
adding a couple of skeins
it's an alternative
to planting actual trees
in snow bound New York.
