Yesterday Sassy wound the Sari ribbon into a ball and wound a warp with the three lovely maids in a row. The cones are 3/2 cotton: tangerine=A, fuchsia=B, magenta=C and the ribbon is R.
The basic repeat is (ARABBCB)
You border withAB and end ARABA.
Use a 12 dent reed.
Weft thread = 10/2 Pearl Cotton.
Weave a with a firm hand.
Had a devil of a time winding the warp. I had never warped one thread at a time. Eventually found some solutions to keep the colors untangled. But beaming the warp will take patience. Ah! Well! It is so beautiful.
