Back in the day...

Husband is inordinately fond of watching classic car shows. The announcer rhapsodizes about the muscle cars from the 70's. His soliloquies will often begin with the phrase: back in the day.

So, back in the day--in the 70's-- when Sassy was a weaver her older children took weaving lessons from Ms. Judy at the Weaver's Shed in Woodstock. In a stroke of great luck Sassy discovered that she still has in her possession their first weaving efforts.

Needlessly to say Sassy does not remember which child did which piece. It appears that the second piece was seamed to create the possibility that it could be finished as a pillow.

Ms. Jennifer has embarked on a  Saori weaving journey in Japan. Therefore, it only seems appropriate that today... her fiftieth birthday...  we should harken back to her first weaving effort.

Give me a memory prompt, Jenn. Which piece is yours?

Happy Birthday! Blessings on your journey.

Hi. Who knew we were Saori back then and didn't even know it. I remember we all contributed to a piece that became a foot stool for Grandma Richards but that is all I remember weaving. Wow I am impressed!
