and yesterday
it came true.
Daughter # 3 went
to Boston... the Irish always
find a welcome in Boston for
their dreams.
Jame Lynn went
to the Omni Parker Hotel
to meet like-minded literary folk
and have her first novel feted.
She stood on the hallowed
ground where the likes
of Longfellow, Emerson,
Lowell, and Hawthorne
used to meet.
A daughter's honor
is always sweet. Her
gifts are legion.
She stood proud,
a poet...
speaking for four
generations of women
in need of a voice.
Thank you, Jame,
for a dream come true.
Today I'm knitting
a swatch of plaid
and remembering.
