Let's be campfire girls.
We'll use the term "girls" loosely.
And skip the campfire.
Husband could get a little testy
about setting the porch afire.
Sleep-over or day camp?
Whatever.
We'll drink pop, wine, beer...
Eat popcorn and brownies
And knit to our heart's content.
Double pointed needles, skein of yarn
and we are set to go.
Place the porch...
You remember the porch, site
of the famous "Porch Ladies"
writing group. New York.
Time: Any summer Sunday.
Sign up: give your best dates.
No fee. Come one,
come all, ready to knit.
Bring your carefree
inner child...
Ready to party.

Count me in! I'll be ready to try socks by then. Should I bring a cuff already in progress or will we make them toes up? (Seems like, if I remember correctly, that's a Briticism for a nap or rest: I'll have a little toes up now.)
Should we have games and contests? Bring your worst knitted item for a prize? (See my strategy...I could actually win that one because I don't always rip out mistakes...heh-heh.)Prize for most outrageous color combination. I'll keep thinking on it.
