" Here (in Pakistan & Afghanistan), we drink three cups of tea
to do business; the first you are a stranger, the second you
become a friend, and the third, you join our family, and for our
family we will to do anything-- even die."

I am still knitting tea cups.
I have one cup completed.
It lacks the handle.
And a saucer is in the works,
needle bound.
Put the kettle on,
bring the water to a boil.
We're family.

Pat, I'm back (albeit quick sick). I remember the first time I heard about the premise of Three Cups of Tea -- I was completely and totally intrigued. I still haven't read the book but I love the significance of the three cups.
Do you think I could learn to knit tea cups? I could buy some needles and yarn ... but I can't follow instructions in those knitting books -- back when I used to try knitting and crocheting I could NEVER figure out what they meant. I need pictures/visuals -- someone showing me. I almost bought some yarn in Victora but I just knew I wouldn't be able to understand the instructions int he books.
