My mother was born on May 13, 1906.
This is her confirmation photo. She was
confirmed at St. Michael's in Jersey City,
New Jersey.
Mother was twelve during the influenza
epidemic. Her oldest sister had the flu.
All three sisters and a brother survived.
The photo makes me feel hopeful that
someday the pandemic will be a memory.
