Weeping Willow
Beside my house, the weeping willow tree
Silently, seems to be beckoning me
To come sit beneath its leafy canopy
By waving subtly seductive hands of green
And sending acknowledging nods upon
The wind's whispers in teasing breeze
I recognize its consoling dance
As if it took this specific chance
To draw me into its swaying caress
Where its energy does its blessed best
To take me away from life's distractions
For the simple reaction of being still
And to feel the movement of its grace
A godly presence, consecrated as sacred place
And suddenly, and quite convincingly
It lures me into its visual dynamism
Beyond being just a beautiful tree
It's a mesmeric personality
Bowing with entertaining energy
Sunlit kissed with springtime curiosity
And in this moment, I too shall be
