So, the next leap of faith was to give quilting ago.
See beginner quilt block # 1.
The pattern is ironed on the top layer. Next we
have a filler layer and then a plain bottom layer.
You realize that it is a little crazy for an 80+
year-old grandmother to take up this particular
fiber art.
Nevertheless, quilting is both fun and challenging.
Poking holes, taking small steps on the journey,
choosing to start in the middle instead of following
the labyrinth's directions: proceed from the outside
ring, twist and turn to make your way to center. Let's
call it a small nod to a rebellious old age.
