Beading My Way Back Home

Prayer beads, worry beads, knitting beads...
to name a few... Sassy counted the miles
in beads on the return to New York.
'Twas a slow journey. Lots on road construction to thwart progress.

Still trying to marry beads and knitting. Love the process of adding
a colored bead to a knit stitch with a crochet hook. However,
the beads in the photo are too large for the yarn (Paton's Grace)
and the diagonal formed by the pattern is too busy for my liking.

Back to the drawing board. The knitting sack holds a skein of fine
merino. Now to find dainty beads with a round opening large enough
to accept a really fine crochet hook.

*Ordered some tiny seed pearls in what seemed to be the correct
size and now have two packets of seed pearls that could only
be strung with dental floss. Alas, so much for mail order.

One of those books I bought has a tutorial on stringing beads with dental floss so that is a real possibility!

I liked the look of your beaded knit.
