Feasting

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

The table was set,
the Christmas cactus ushered in new season...

Gathered together we nibble on turkey, drown mashed potatoes in gravy,
nosh on stuffing and cranberry sauce...
a day for Thanksgiving, sharing family memories of  holidays past.

The Sassy One will forego Black Friday shopping.
She has an aversion to crowds and holiday hype, you know.
Knitting baby hats and wee socks will fill the need
to generate gifts for the little ones on her Christmas list.

A few items for older folk might make their way into
the Christmas basket, as well.

And tomorrow is the day for turkey leftovers.
Hmm... hmm good.
