October Slipper Socks
Slipper socks elicit fond memories of cold winter mornings
in the 1940's. One would receive a new pair of slipper socks
every Christmas.
Husband remembers his mother knitting slipper socks.
So, the Sassy one went online and lo and behold
Boye sells suede fleece-lined soles for hand knit
slippers.
The yarn is Amazing.
The pattern comes with the sole.
The slipper is knit on straight needles.
The pattern suggested a #7 needle and I used a #6.
I knit k2, p2, instead of k1,p1 for the ribbing.
Now friends, the trick is to sew it together.
With any luck some lucky recipient will have
warm feet this winter.
