September Sunflowers

A friend gifted me with these awesome sunflowers.

Husband handcrafted the ceramic vase.

The vase and flowers proved to be a perfect match.

The ball of yarn with the crochet hook and the

knitting needle comprise the tools of the trade

for today's project. Once again I am going

to learn to do a provisional cast-on. It is

not difficult but I use that particular skill

infrequently and therefore, have to relearn

the process every time.

I am going to sit on the porch,

admire the flowers, and practice

the cast-on.

Maybe enjoy a glass of sparkling

water... add a wedge of lemon or

lime. 

Savor these last days of summer.
