Baby Baby

Entrelac is still the passion of the moment.
The white-on-white baby hat encircles the
lovely ixora.

The original pattern "Strawberry Hat"
was designed by Rosemary Drysdale.
See ENTRELAC: The Essential Guide
to Interlace Knitting.

However, Sassy in a burst of pique
decided to use a different yarn and a smaller needle
and didn't even consider the gauge.

The yarn is Sirdar Dk and the needle size is 3.

The pattern moves from back to front,
left to right, garter purl stitch to
knit garter stitch... necessitating the
need to both count and stay focused.

The hat may well end its life as a plant holder
but well worth the challenge... those diamonds
are awesome.

oh but Pat, there is the creative part -- who else would have such a beautiful and unique hand-knit plant holder! Love it.
