Moomins

Moomins are technically trolls, but they look like hippos.

They come from Finland circa 1940/50s and on. Books, comic strips...

The Japanese did animation of them before anime and such.

There's a theme park in Finland that's like their Disneyland.

A museum with all Tove Jansson's work, including fine art and such.

And Finnair planes have Moomins painted on them. Such an education

for all of us.

a rock for 30 years, an island off of Finland, in a tiny cabin.

And she had a studio in a tower in Helsinki. Very romantic.
