Hats Off

This hat is a first. 

I am knitting from the top down.

You start with nine stitches

and increase every other row.

I love the look of lace.

I am knitting with straight needle

but in my next effort I will knit

it in the round.

You are looking at the crown.

It will be followed by 3 inches

of  stockinette and then a 

ruffle.
