Saori Vest
The warp was 8/2 cotton. The weft was several different weights of black wool. The stripes were comprised of yarns buried in the stash... for decades.
Sassy is committed to becoming a Saori weaver. Grounded in basic weaving techniques the secret will be to follow the yellow brick road and no longer work from a preconceived pattern... thereby repeating another weaver's design. Oh my soul! Years of being a conforming perfectionist will have to give way to intuition and playfulness. A Depression child mentality of "don't waste, follow the recipe" needs to disappear.
Year 76 has started with joyful first step.

Love it, love it, love it. Especially the use of the color blue. It reminds me of Santa Fe.
