Sassy had a quick raceway ride down the New Jersey Turnpike, a slow crawl through Virginia, and a track the miles to Florida. On the journey she knitted what she is calling a Sassy Sack.
Knit on a size 9 needle with Sugar and Cream she started with a garter stitch rectangle. Cast-on a 32 stitch base using a provisional cast-on. Knit for 22 rows and pick-up 22 stitches on the edge, pick-up 32 stitches from the cast-on, and then 22 stitches again. Knit for 12 inches on a round needle. End with several rows of garter stitch. Bind off. Knit a six stitch strap. Start from both sides and meet in the middle and gather the stitches to join.
Sassy wants to experiment with different ways to join the strap. Maybe
bind-off both sides and create a knot.

That's really cute and would also make a great market bag. Did you knit eyelets to insert a ribbon? That would be really pretty with a big silk bow.
Sassy, here is a photo of what I was describing about the ribbons.
